A FAST GROWING FOOD SERVICE DISTRIBUTOR COMPANY IS SEEKING A KEY ACCOUNT SPECIALIST IN VERNON, CA. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE MULTIPLE YEARS’ SALES EXPERIENCE AND WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO MAINTAIN AND STRENGTHEN THE RELATIONSHIP WITH INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CUSTOMERS BY UNDERSTANDING AND RESPONDING TO THEIR SERVICE NEEDS IN A TIMELY AND EFFECTIVE MANNER UTILIZING APPROPRIATE RESOURCES AS NEEDED.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • ANTICIPATORY. ANTICIPATES CUSTOMER NEEDS, EXPECTATIONS, INVENTORY ALLOCATION AND PRICING ISSUES. ASKING QUESTIONS.
  • LEADS PRINCIPAL ORDER ENTRY AND AR MANAGEMENT.
  • EXERCISES WISE JUDGMENT AND URGENCY FOR CURRENT PENDING ISSUES WITH CUSTOMERS.
  • SUPPORTS CUSTOMERS VIA INTERNAL CUSTOMER PRICING AUDITS AND MANAGING CUSTOMER CREDITS.
  • PARTICIPATE IN WEEKLY CUSTOMER CONTRACT / BID PRICING. REVIEWS DAILY.
  • COORDINATES WITH LOGISTICS, ACCOUNTING, PROCUREMENT, OPERATIONS, WAREHOUSE AND RECEIVING PERSONNEL.
  • DAILY MANAGES EXTRA LEAD TIME AND SPECIAL-ORDER PRODUCT DEMANDS.
  • FIRST POINT OF CONTACT ON ALL CUSTOMER INQUIRIES AND INQUIRIES.
  • PROBLEM SOLVING.
  • OUTSIDE OF THE BOX THINKING.
  • COORDINATES WITH PROCUREMENT FOR PRODUCT SOURCING. TRACKS PRODUCT FROM INQUIRY TO SHIPMENT AND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.
  • OPERATES IN A SHARED BUSINESS CALENDAR FOR CUSTOMER APPOINTMENTS, PRESENTATIONS, OR SUPPLIER RIDE-ALONGS.
